This is a VERY popular spot. The wait can be a while. Don't come STARVING, put your name in, and relax. They move quickly and efficiently, they have a great selection of dishes, and everything is routinely good. I love their biscuits and gravy, Swedish pancakes with lingonberries, potato pancakes, and their Eggs Benedict.

Parks & Nature
Historic reenactments are great for the kids. There are many beautiful trails with viewpoints. The main trail goes all the way to the ocean, but it's a 12 mile roundtrip! It's easy to start at the fort and do various shorter hikes, or you can park at Sunset beach and hike from that end.

Fort Clatsop Visitor Center

It's easy to start at the fort and do various shorter hikes, or you can park at Sunset beach and hike from that end.
This is a spot known mostly to locals. The location listed is not accurate. Travel west on 12th Avenue. Take the first right past the Necanicum River onto Franklin Street. Park at the very end, by the water treatment plant. Head up the bluff onto the trails and find a point to climb down onto the beach. This is where the Necanicum and Neawanna rivers meet the ocean. It's a beautiful spot with great sunsets, and sometimes, on the north side, you can see a wide variety of wildlife. When the tide is in, the river is quite wide but not too deep. It's great for canoeing, kayaking, or swimming! If you take our canoe out at the house and head north, this is where you end up.

Go to Dress Barn. I know. Worst name ever. But their clothes are the best! I have been shopping there for 20 years, and I still have clothes from that long ago. Their clothes are stylish, flattering, well priced, and well made! I routinely get complimented when I wear my Dress Barn clothes. Also, Eddie Bauer is great. Nike and Pendleton Woolen Mills are in a separate building a bit south of the main mall, but have some great selections and prices as well.
