Hands down the Best FREE park in the US, the rock formations are nothing short of spectacular. Always a popular running spot, the best sights are reserved for those who make it out here the day after a Snowfall.
If you are NOT from Colorado and decide to skip this you have missed the best treasure.

The drive up this mountain and back down usually takes the majority of a half day, especially if you stop for some famous hot doughnuts.
If you are from a much lower elevation I would strongly recomend putting this towards the end of your stay as most tend to struggle aout 8k elevation.
