Mauao is our beautiful maunga (mountain) and is located in Mount Maunganui. You can walk to the summit of Mauao in 20-30 minutes depending on your fitness or you can walk around the base track which is approximately 3.4km. At the base of Mauao is a range of cafes, ice cream parlours, hot pools, shops and surf.

Our beach is a great place to surf, paddleboard, kayak or swim. There are three surf clubs in our area - Mt Maunganui, Omanu and Papamoa.
