Amazing Mexican food on Front St. in the middle of downtown. Mama Lu's is a small place, and it can be hard to get a table. Their tacos are amazing and their street corn is the talk of the town!

Family-friendly activities
Pirate's Cove is a pirate-themed adventure park located about 10 minutes drive east of downtown TC. This is the original location of what is now a nationwide chain of more than 20 parks.
It features mini golf, two go-cart tracks (one for big kids and grown ups, the other for kids 5 and up), a high ropes course and bumper boats.
We have taken our two small kids here on several occasions and they loved every minute.
One small word of warning - be prepared for a leisurely-paced round of mini golf if you play on weekends or during peak vacation seasons, as it gets very crowded!

Riverside Canoe Trips is located about 40 minutes drive from the center of TC, and offers canoe and kayak rental. A one way trip down the Platte to the outlet at Lake Michigan takes about 3-4 hours and is a great way to spend half a day.
