Even though the food is described as "new American comfort food," this bistro feels far more European. The menu highlights "reinvented classic dishes" such as the Vaudeville club sandwich and the French dip. Enjoy the bistro or V Supper Club for an extra special occasion.

An ode to grandma’s cooking, Emma + Ollie serve up elevated old-fashioned favorites —all made from scratch. Their Sunday brunch may just be THE best in town. (If you’re lucky, they’ll have shrimp and grits on their menu for the day.) Or go during the week for a phenomenal breakfast or lunch. Side note: They serve beignets all day!

Take the hop-on-hop-off shuttle for wine tasting.
We suggest spending the day wine tasting aboard the hop-on-hop-off 290 Wine Shuttle (Saturdays only). It's only $30 per person and makes stops at 14 wineries along the wine trail. Not going wine tasting on a Saturday? Majesty Tours does specialized tours and operates during the week.

If you can't make it to the wineries, you can always "bar hop" at the many tasting rooms along Main Street. Tip: Order a glass to go, so you can sip and shop at the same time. That's right, you're allowed to have open containers on Main Street, as well as Austin and San Antonio Streets.

Fredericksburg is wonderful anytime of year, but it's especially magical during its festival weekends. We suggest going during Oktoberfest or the Christmas Parade for an extra-special good time!
