This is another entry point into Egmont National Park. The Dawson Falls are just a 10 min walk off the road. There are other short walks you can do from the Visitors Centre such as Wilkies Pools. Take your togs in summer for a refreshing dip.

Getting Around
Public Transport is not widespread or frequent in Taranaki. We strongly suggest hiring a car to make the most of your stay in Taranaki. You will need a car whether you want to find the best surf, walk the White Cliffs, visit the Festival of the Lights or climb the Mountain. Without a car you will probably be a bit frustrated.
New Plymouth Airport
