Locality
Once a fisherman's village, and the home of sugar cane factory workers introduced by the Moors in the 8th C AD. The fishermen still gather on the paseo first thing in the morning, and provide fresh fish to local restaurants. The paseo maritimo is a local hub for locals and visitors, dog walkers and joggers. There you will find some nice spots to grab a morning coffee, there are plenty of bars and restaurants, sun loungers and grilled fish cooked on open flame on old fishing boat dotting the beach (Espeto).
