Really excellent burgers - fresh and juicy. Some tables for eating in but they mostly do a brisk take away trade. It's a popular spot, so expect to queue.

My local gastro pub. Choose a burger in the beer garden or a more fine dining experience in the dining room, depending on how you feel. Either option is delicious! Definitely not cheap pub grub, so expect to pay $20-$40 for a main course

Craving a serious piece of beef? This award winning gastro pub specialises in steak of various cuts and breeds, cooked beautifully to your specifications. Has recently changed hands, though I don't think they've made too many changes to the menu. Not cheap, but great atnosphere and really good food.

Excellent range of tasty sourdough bread. They also serve breakfast and lunch. My staple is the ciabatta or casalinga loaf, but I have branched out into some of the fruit loaves with no regrets

This is my favourite place for phở - that delicious Vietnamese noodle soup that you can eat for breakfast lunch or dinner. Try the sliced rare beef with a side order of crispy spring rolls to share. Closes by about 8:30pm

There are better Malaysian Restaurants in Melbourne, but this one is close to home and does a couple of dishes well. I particularly love the roti canai, fish head curry and belacan kangkong.
