Our favorite places to eat
One of our favorites places to get food as they have options for meat eaters and vegetarians, that both groups actually like. I’m a vegetarian and this is my go to for unhealthy bar food. I highly recommend the mushroom rueben for an entree. If you are just going for beer you have to get the fries as they are the best in the area.

One of the only zoo's I have been to where the animals are always swimming, rolling, or playing in the summer. There are also babies throughout many of the exhibits. The animals that live here and are clearly happy, which is one of the reasons it is my favorite zoo I've ever been too.
If you want a really unique experience during the summer be sure to look up what time the parrot demonstration is at. During this they allow the flock to free fly from their enclosure, across the zoo, to a perch before flying at the guests, without flying into them!

Not up for driving?
If you don't want to drive to your destination there are scooters for rent in the summer, bikes are available for rent in Broad Ripple year round, the Monon Trail is open 24/7, and the Red Line can take you directly into downtown Indy! Our favorite option is biking on the Monon .

Farmer's Market
The Saturday morning farmers market in both Broad Ripple and Carmel are a must visit! If you are in the mood for fresh fruit and veggies, Broad ripple is your go to. If you want an array of Breakfast food, and often times live music, be sure to visit Carmel! Locations of both markets change from summer to winter, so be sure to look them up.
