Portsoy is a picturesque, coastal and fishing town located on the Moray Firth coast and only 2 miles away from Baley Retreat.
It is 50 miles northwest of Aberdeen and 65 miles east of Inverness.
Portsoy is known for local jewellery made from "Portsoy marble" and for teh annual Scottish Traditional Boat Festival at the end of June. The festival engages the local region and its visitors, bringing together boats, music, crafts, food, and drink, to celebrate the region’s rich cultural heritage. Portsoy, with its quaint 17th century Harbour, also offers a sandy beach, shops, a pub, coffee shops, and its well-known Portsoy ice-cream shop; all within 5 minutes' drive from Baley retreat. The only risk here is for you wanting to stay or return again and again!!.
