A great place to walk along the river in forest setting. Lots of free parcours sports equipment set up for you to use. There’s a horse and pony club, a petting zoo, a swimming centre, basically loads to do. Beautiful in the winter but much better in the summer.

Lac Montriond is simply beautiful, all year round. If you like taking photographs, this is a must! A lovely walk around the lake, paddle boarding and kayaking, swimming are the activities to do here. Picnics, bbqs and a little hike up to ardent waterfall in the summer months are a nice thing to do too. In August Feu du Lac firework display is free and is spectacular! There are 4 restaurants and the Morzine - Ardent bus will pickup/ drop off at the lake.

Lac de Montriond
Lac Montriond is simply beautiful, all year round. If you like taking photographs, this is a must! A lovely walk around the lake, paddle boarding and kayaking, swimming are the activities to do here. Picnics, bbqs and a little hike up to ardent waterfall in the summer months are a nice thing to do too. In August Feu du Lac firework display is free and is spectacular! There are 4 restaurants and the Morzine - Ardent bus will pickup/ drop off at the lake.
This is an amazing thing to do in Spring, all the snow melt ensures an exciting rapid river flowing through the gorge. A little hairy if you suffer vertigo (like me!) but totally worth it. A lovely walk through forest with information about the local flora and fauna takes you down to the ‘Pont de Diable’. There is a little local history museum and a local farm produce shop to wander around, a gift shop and cute cafe too. Probably not suitable for kids under 10. Gets really busy in peak seasons.

The tourist Office provides loads of activities for families during busy weeks and school holidays. You definitely won't be bored here!

The old cobbled streets, buildings and Castle make add a little culture to the natural beauty of the mountains. There's lots of lake and beach activities, retail therapy, bars and restaurants making it an ideal day out.

Evian - Live young! about 45m drive from Morzine on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman), Evian is a pretty old town with lovely botanical gardens and Evian spring fountains to fill up your re-usable bottles. Also great to promenade along the lake front, do some souvenir shopping and grab a crepe and coffee.

The grounds of the abbaye host a medicinal and kitchen garden. Its fun learning about the poisonous plants! Free parking at the foot of Elephants Head mountain. Very pretty view of the valley down to neighbouring Seytroux.
