Jolee Island is a 5-acre plot of land surrounded by marshland, Horseshoe Bayou, and Choctawhatchee Bay within Sandestin. Accessible by foot or bike, or by kayak or paddleboard from Baytowne Marina, it’s perfect place to get away and explore nature.
The pirate ship playground is found in the center of Jolee Island and is one of two play structures on the island.
The nautical playhouse on the Bay on Jolee Island is what memories are made of.

Crab Island is one of the most popular attractions in all of Destin. The depth of the shallow emerald green water is about 1-4 ft. It’s the perfect place to anchor your boat down and have a good time out in the sun!
Large groups will rent a pontoon boat. People also enjoy taking jet skis and kayaks. The best place to find excursions and watercraft rentals are at the Destin Harbor.
Although most people would pack their own food and drinks, Crab Island does have floating food vendors and restaurants occasionally. Most people love Crab Island for nothing more than fishing, swimming, and tanning.
We recommend going during high tide when the water looks best. Hgh tide is between 9-10am when the cystal clear water from the Gulf of Mexico rolls in. When the tide goes out, Crab Island gets the bay water with grass which causes the green tint to the water. The two best months for high tides are May and June.
