Taxi cabs can be hard to come by in the neighborhood, but Uber is widely available in Bay Ridge. If you prefer to use a local Car Service, Harbor View Car Service can be reached at (718) 680-2500. If you use a regular yellow taxi from the airport, it usually costs about $50, possibly more depending on traffic.

Subway details
The R train is available right on 95th Street and 5th Ave, just up the block from the house! The NYC subway runs 24 hours per day, however they run the trains on alternate schedules after 11pm which means it may take longer to get back to the house. Each subway ride costs $2.75 (free transfers to the buses) with discounts available for bulk purchases.

Travel from JFK Airport
Option 1:
A taxi or Uber from JFK will cost about $50-$60, and will take about 45 minutes to get to the house (although you might wait for a while to get a taxi).
Option 2:
Coming from JFK on the subway might take about 70-90 minutes, and will require at least one transfer. You would take the Airtrain ($5 per person) from the terminal to the Howard Beach/JFK A train station. From there, you take a Manhattan-bound A train to Jay St-Metrotech station, and then transfer to the R train towards Bay Ridge and take the R train to the last station (95th Street). The subway will cost $2.75 per person
