The Brewers’s Apprentice is literally downstairs of my apartment complex. They carry a great selection of craft beers on tap. I have a standard howler for my guest to use while you are staying in my place, you can also get tall boys canned straight from the tap!

A great place for best ice-cream in Calgary. Choose any flavour you won’t be disappointed with any of them. They have vegan option as well which is an added advantage. Cardamom, vanilla bean, toasted coconut, and salted caramel are my all time favorites!

Mari is a unique little Japanese bakeshop in the heart of East Village. The staff are very warm, the treats are super tasty and unique, highly recommend their sourdough bread as well as strawberry cake!

River cafe offers great patio dining experience right in Princes Island park with the city view. It is one of my top favourite places in Calgary.
I love come here for brunch with my family during the weekends or just biking through the park and stopping in enjoy a glass of wine and afternoon bites!

This is the best Korean fried chicken in Calgary! I have to admit... Korean style fried chicken and craft beer is my guilt pleasure. Highly recommend them for take outs!

You can literally find everything you need for cooking traditional Chinese dishes plus they are always super fresh.Their price is unbeatable since a lot Chinatown elders shop there. They also carry cutlery and kitchenware you might need for cooking Chinese food, convenient household items, tools and more. If you're only planning to buy one or two things, remember to bring cash.

In the summer days I enjoy just order their sushi dinner for take outs and have a picnic in front the Bow river.

A museum and art gallery mixed into one is how I would define Glenbow. It consists of 4 floors with different exhibits and space. There are areas for kids to go discover as well. There isnt anything nature based besides the rocks/minerals exhibit. There are great exhibits on aboriginals and also good exhibits displaying the oil side of how Calgary came to be + railroad story (although missing parts of history). Everything is well spaced and described. A nice place to visit for a generalistic view on things.

A landmark of Calgary and always worth a visit. As part of the skyline this iconic tower symbolizes the strength of the great city. Once reaching the top the views are absolutely amazing and a different perspective of between the urban landscapes and the Rockies mountains!

In addition to that, there is also a cultural event where magicians, dancers, and singers perform. This is also a spectacular show which is followed by mind blowing fireworks. In short, this event is worth to check out if you are in town during the stampede.
