At night, one of the streets are closed and it becomes “Satay street”. Go for stall number 7 or best satay. Order the chicken, beef or mutton satays. Try to avoid the prawns as they are quite expensive. Beer ladies will also try to ply their drinks to you. There are also many cuisines being offered under one roof if you wish to diversify from satay which are situated indoors.

Both restaurants claim to be the best and original and each has their own specialties. Order the pork ribs, various pig parts, pickled vegetables, tofu and nuts. You won’t leave empty or unsatisfied.

Many foods to try in this area (Beware when you are buying electronics here!). Look for Buddha tooth relic temple where legend has it that a piece of Buddha’s tooth is stored there.

Many celebrity chefs opened their restaurants in this venue and surprisingly taste good, if you are in the mood to splurge in food and shopping. If you still have money to burn, try the casino which is in the middle of the compound. Many tourists have tried to sneak into the infinity pool illegally, however, my suggestion is to go to the rooftop bar instead and get a drink during dusk to view Singapore unobstructed (You need to pay an entrance fee of 20 SGD but the that can be redeemed for a drink). Pretty view.

Many celebrity chefs opened their restaurants in this venue and surprisingly taste good, if you are in the mood to splurge in food and shopping. Aside from there explore the many southern Indian restaurants and temples. Do be sensitive on what you wear inside the temple.
