This place is a cafe, restaurant, coffee shop, and bakery. Everything this place does is on point. Food, coffee, cakes, atmosphere, setting. If you get the chance head there on a weekend they have food stalls out in the garden area in case the cafe/restaurant is full, which it probably will be but the garden is worth a look anyway.... They have chickens, ducks, and pigs in the grounds as well. Kids love it.

Lorraine is a master. I'm not sure what magic she puts in her cakes and pastries but its good. Really good. If you could eat one of everything just to decide what to get, you would!

Head down to watch the sun set behind the Habour Bridge and glimmer off the Opera House. You wont find a better place to have a drink, see so many of Sydney's Icons up so close. A great place to end the day exploring or start an evening of partying....

Frankie's Pizza, enter down the stairs and step back to the early 80's decked out in Frank's family's memorabilia order a pizza by the slice and a beer or my favourite vodka and fresh apple juice. Head out to the back bar for a dose of 80's rock and play the pinball machines or if your feeling adventurous head down to the hidden Frankie's fun room.... (walk to the back of the bar next to the stage go through the fire escape and down the spiral stairs.... so much fun to be had....)

The Barber Shop is a small hidden bar behind a small barber shop at the front of the building. Say hello the security and ask if you can go in for a drink. Slide the door open and step back in time.... The cocktails here are awesome. Great atmosphere and bar staff.

Because if you haven't been to a speakeasy style bar before this is such a good reason.... One of my absolute favourites. Everything is right about this place. The swinging jazz music, the buzzing atmosphere, the attentive and impressive bar staff, the mind blowing cocktails on offer. I have never not enjoyed myself at this place. Have an Old Fashioned. The only problem it closes at 1am :(

The Underground bar at the Civic Hotel. One of the best small venues in Sydney for house and techno. Excellent sound system in a relatively small room. Look out for the Mantra Collective when they put nights on in there for the best international deep house DJ's. Check the gig guides for DJ's and whose playing.

These guys are our neighbours.... Check the Museum for what exhibitions are on. Arts and Science exhibitions you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere. They also have two cafes attached to it and one has an outdoor play area for the kids.
