About 1.5 Hour away but definitely worth the day trip if you're so far up north already! One of many protected areas along the Bruce Peninsula, Little Cove is distinguished by an exceptionally rugged Lake Huron shoreline. Natural features include barrens, scrub cliffs, palisade woodlands, and karst pavements. Karst pavements are limestone surfaces with potholes and twists caused by natural, acidic erosion. Little Cove contains part of the St. Edmunds Cove. This park is part of the Niagara Escarpment Parks System, and the Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve. It is located within the boundaries of the Bruce Pennisula National Park. There are overhangs, high rocky cliffs, sea caves, dolomite shores, and cobble beaches for visitors to explore, with the caution that much of the natural habitat is fragile. Camping is not permitted in the reserve.

Big Bruce - A giant Hereford Steer that resides in the heart of Bruce County's famous cattle country. Constructed in 1976, Big Bruce stands proudly in the heart of cattle country at the outskirts of Chelsey, Ontario. Big Bruce is a symbol of Ontario's best beef, raised by incredible people that have a passion for their land, their community and their animals. Towering at height of 15' he was the brain-child of Harvey L Davis, a local beef farmer and politician. Big Bruce was purchased to represent the Bruce County Cattleman's Association at events all over Ontario. During his 'mobile' days he visited fall fairs, attended Christmas parades and plowing matches. Next time you pass through Chesley pop by Big Bruce and salute the icon of Bruce County Beef.

Enjoy your self-guided exploration of 10 limestone caves in the peace and tranquillity of singing birds and rustling leaves along the rugged trails where scenes of Quest for Fire and Against the Wild were filmed, all in about a hour or two, but come prepared with GOOD hiking shoes with a good tread, as the rocks may be moist and slippery. You will also need a flashlight for some parts of the caves. Check out some of our Cave Photos and Video here. Binoculars will be a good idea to get a better view from the trail above the caves affords breathtaking views about 300 feet above the sparkling waters of Georgian Bay. Very important also is to have comfortable clothing when climbing around the caves. 407 Scenic Caves Rd, Lion's Head, ON N0H 1W0

Great day trip with family - 1.5 hour north. The Bruce Peninsula is a peninsula in Ontario, Canada, that lies between Georgian Bay and the main basin of Lake Huron. Dramatic cliffs rise from the turquoise waters of Georgian Bay. In large tracts of forest, black bears roam and rare reptiles find refuge in rocky areas and diverse wetlands. Ancient cedar trees spiral from the cliff-edge; a multitude of orchids and ferns take root in a mosaic of habitats. Welcome to the magic of Bruce Peninsula National Park
