Here's a handful of local to downtown eateries that are popular to locals and visitors. A lot of these are our own favorites too! Take out options are available for most, but call ahead to be sure.
If you like adult beverages and tasty finger foods with a cool vibe then check out the Craft Lounge. It's designed as a "speak easy" and entry is through the mail lobby of the popular Brick29 Bistro. There's no special code or anything to get in. Just walk through the "janitorial closet" door and you're in! Opens at 3pm and closed on Sunday's.

Nampa is a great town and has been going through a transformation the past several years. With roughly 100,000 in population (and growing) south Nampa is becoming a favorite for first time home buyers and those looking for a slower pace. The downtown area is a hot spot and is often quite busy. It's best to walk or plan to park a few blocks from the heart of downtown.

Walking, biking or car is the best way to get around.
Our area isn't a destination spot for mass or public transportation. Getting to downtown Nampa is only 1 mile, so if you're feeling up to it walking or biking will show you some neat old homes in the neighborhood. Otherwise driving yourself or use a service like Uber or a taxi.

It's okay to greet a stranger
Idahoans are friendly people (mostly). It's not uncommon to make eye contact with a stranger and say "hello", hold the door open, or just engage in casual conversation. It's a friendly vibe here.

There are quite a few areas of beauty to check out within 60-90 minutes from Nampa. Here's are a few cool spots to check out.
Jump Creek Falls - Marsing
Bogus Basin - Boise
Snake River Wine Region - Beautiful sites. Wine tasting too if you like it.
Garden Valley & Crouch - Just beautiful! Nice drive too.
Bruneau Dunes State Park - Hammett (if you want a more scenic drive but longer, take the southern route on Hwy 78)
Idaho City - Historic mining town that still has an old vibe

Layer up and bring clothes for wet weather
Our area (aka Treasure Valley) receives approximately 24 inches of total snow accumulation each year and 12 inches of total rain accumulation each year. Except for snow, which starts around December and ends around March, rain can come at anytime. On a beautiful day rain can show up quickly, but generally doesn't last too long. Average summer temps are in the mid 90's and average winter temps are in the 30's. Don't take this as the high or low. It can get warmer and colder. It can get rather windy here too. On cold days that wind will cut right through you. Bring warm (layered) clothing.

Hard alcohol must be purchased at state liquor stores
If you're looking for the hard stuff you'll have to purchase it from state run liquor stores. Beer and wine are available in grocery stores, mini marts and also the occasional "drive through" brew (yes drive through) stores. There are three in Nampa and the closest to the Airbnb is at 1225 12th Ave Rd, Nampa. Open daily by noon.
