Family pub around 15 minutes drive up the mountain, has spectacular views of the Gold Coast in the beer garden. Nice to visit of an afternoon for a drink and for kids to run around.
We also had a meal here once, I had the pork ribs and my husband had the parmy.. Meals were pretty typical for a pub (huge and not a lot of flavour)..

This is a great wet weather plan B option to wear the kids out. There is a cafe that is very reasonably priced, and the coffee is surprisingly nice. You don't need to book, visits are limited to 2 hours. Great for kids of all ages.

Dreamworld is great and during summer the whitewater world is also open. There's something for everyone and every age there. Tiger show is generally on at 12pm which is worthwhile and a good chance to rest your legs and have a snack. Dreamworld are always doing different activities and shows throughout the year. They have a night food market on Friday and Saturday nights from 5pm and the entry for that is only $2 per person so you can go to that and check it out before committing to the higher expense of a full day entry. There are various food trucks for dinner and it's also fun to go there just for a dessert with the ice cream shop there are dessert food trucks.

City/town information
Tamborine Mountain is quite a big place but plug into your maps what exactly you're interested in. For example in the village there is a road around 500m long with boutique stalls and cafes open 7 days. Around 20 minutes drive up the mountain.

I would recommend dining in as it's quite nice for a casual family dinner.
The Thai red curry is nice (and mild enough for kids), the starters in my opinion were a little bit pricey however they did taste hand made.

If you head to the Westfield at Coomera there is an array of restaurants there. Our family fav is the Betty's Burger's for a treat. Cost our family about $65-80
There are other restaurants in the same area to choose from also and none of them appear to require pre bookings.

The parking is a little bit tricky, the parking is quite a distance from the restaurant section of the centre but the valet parking is right next to it if you wanted to splurge out

Outdoor outlet shopping with lots of big brands, large Nike store etc. Plenty of parking and around 15 minutes drive, there would be plenty of public transport to get to here too.
There's like a little mini china town eat street which is cool for something different where you can get some sort of Asian dish on a budget OR there's heaps of other restaurants, yum cha, sushi train, burgers, cafe food etc.
There's also a Reading Cinema here and even a time zone type thing for the kids.
The asian grocery market is pretty good, they have heaps of fresh fruit and veggies and there's normally some items on sale for a ridiculously cheap price (once I got 1kg of blueberries for $5).. There's also a Woolworths here..
Sort of a one stop shop for a big day out with the family or on your own

There's a lovely walk/bike ride around a man made lake. You can take a bike, pram, scooter the whole way around it and there's a park there for kids to play at. There is also a fenced dog park here

If yoga, pilates, barre and meditation are your thing this studio is close and they offer casual passes available on their website. There are heaps of classes and you don't need anything to attend. Every class ends with meditation and relaxation.
They do lock the building a minute or two before class start time so late comers do miss out.
