Gilbert Whites house & the cafe are both great. Selborne, where it is situated is totally picturesque and has a renowned pottery too.

This a good little cafe in Liss, walking distance from the annexe. Great Brunches, good service, a popular spot to do book!

Walking
The Annexe is literally on the border of the South Downs National Park. There is some incredible walks locally…and some that are even walking distance! 😁
Harting Down has some of the most stunning views around. It’s a really beautiful spot, and a good one to visit en route to Chichester, or when visiting the Three Horseshoes Pub

The Ranges @ Longmoor is a great place to walk - it’s a short drive away, OR you can walk to it along the old railway line. The Footpath to the ranges is just by the level crossing @ Liss Station.

Liss has all the amenities you might need, and is just a few minutes walk from the annexe.
There’s a Tesco, a post office, a great cafe, bakery, newsagent, diy shop, wool shop and a few charity shops too. Oh - and an award winning curry house!

Petersfield is a great and historic market town - with a thriving market in the square on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It has plenty to offer - lots of cafes and independent shops, a small museum, library, leisure centre, outdoor pool, lake…4 supermarkets and more charity shops for a town of its size than I have every seen!

It has plenty to offer - lots of cafes and independent shops, a small museum, library, leisure centre, outdoor pool, lake…4 supermarkets and more charity shops for a town of its size than I have every seen!
Pubs & Restaurants
The Hawkley Inn is a fantastic local Pub, serving good food, and good lagers and ales etc. It’s a popular destination in its own right, with walkers, cyclists, tourists and locals alike. There are some great walks in the surrounding hangers.

This is much more of a wine bar feel. The food and drink and ambience in general are elevated compared to the pubs found locally.
