This canal boat trip is quite good value for money. It costs half of the other company and has basically the same route. It's a good way to get a kind of overview of the city. And you also pass by the little mermaid - so you have got that out of the way ;-)

A very cute little castle in the center of town. It has a spiral stair with rooms off it that are historically interesting but don't go on forever. It also has the crown jewels. The castle was originally built in 1606-1607 as a summerhouse by order of Christian IV, a famous Danish king who built a lot of Copenhagen and all of Christianshavn.
It is right next to Nørrebro metro station and it is located in a park that is very popular with young people all summer.

A great art museum with a gorgeous location. It is about 40 minutes by train from town, and a 10 minute walk.

This a great sausage stand. There is one at this location and one at Købmagergade 52. They have vegan sausages and goat and beef and several others. I love having a sausage with mashed root vegetables and pickled beets. Sounds weird but its delicious and good for you! You can of course also get the Danish version of a hot dog - get it with toasted onions, not raw, for the most authentic taste.

This is also the district where porno really hit the market in the 60's (Denmark was the first place in the world to legalize porno). There are still a few shops.
My favorite Hong Kong style restaurant is on the street which was made (in)famous by porno: Istedgade. It is called Magasasa and is located right behind the train station at Istedgade 4.
Further over is the "Meat Packing District", where former warehouses are now lots of restaurants and bars.

Interesting shopping
A good design shop inside Illum on the top floor. Some nice Japanese goods at reasonable prices and some weird and fun Danish design products.
