Beach/Boardwalk/Family
There are many beaches in the area, with state beaches typically being the least busy but requires payment ~$10 per visit. We buy the out-of-state annual Delaware state park pass ~$70 as it is usable beyond the beach.
Boardwalks include Bethany (close/quiet), Rehobeth (Family oriented), and Ocean City (biggest and busiest)

Grottos pizza is a Delaware beach ‘must have’. Close enough to our place you can pick up and bring back (or have delivered)and the food will still be hot, but always better in the restaurant (there are lots and lots of locations, including on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk), so opportunities galore to ‘experience’ grottos pizza (hot wings are good too).

27 hole golf course and driving range open to the public. Tee times needed. Well maintained, can play 2 rounds and not play the exact same 18 holes each day. Real close to our place, so going to the driving range is quick.
