Murphys is located in the central Sierra Nevada foothills between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, in Calaveras County, California. Murphys is becoming the best rival to Napa Valley for our vineyards and wineries, with 11 award-winning wineries with the fabulous “Passport Weekend” wine tours and dinners provided by noted restaurants.
Rich in goldrush history, Murphys is a vibrant, thriving community, alive with art galleries and live theater, eclectic shops, fine restaurants, charming hotels and B&B’s, and a multitude of outstanding outdoor recreational adventures. There are three golf courses, tennis, fishing, hiking, gold panning expeditions, whitewater rafting, shopping, winter skiing at Bear Valley Ski Resort, plus summer water skiing on New Melones Lake.
Ironstone Winery has been host to a variety of events including wine tasting, dining, estate tours, fabulous gardens, weddings, concerts and wine caves.

V is our weekly go to restaurant, best breakfast in town. The casual bistro is open every evening however the dining room is only open Thursday - Sunday 5-8pm. Call for reservations, if you get there early there should be bar seating.
