Krka National Park lies about 10km inland from Sibenik in this part of Dalmatia. Named after the Krka River, the Park covers an area of just over 142 square km and includes two-thirds of the river itself. The top attraction of the Park is its magnificent waterfalls, including the famous Skradinski Buk falls which are one of Croatia’s most famous sights.
Other highlights include the small island of Visovac and Roski Slap waterfall. A boat trip through the park (included in the entrance ticket) is a great way of seeing much of the Park.

Lake Vrana
For those preferring a physically less demanding way of enjoying the world of nature, the Vrana Lake Nature Park is perfect.
It consists of the largest lake in Croatia and its surrounding area. Located in the vicinity of the sea, the lake is home to an exceptional number of bird species, to wild ducks and egrets in particular. The instrument has 7 clusters, each consisting of 5 tones and the author of the music is the unpredictable sea. „Monument to the sun“ is composed of 300 glass panels aligned in a circle. Underneath those panels are located solar modules that establish communication with nature while creating beautiful rhythmic light shows resembling the looks of wave movement and sea organ.

It is impossible to say whether the park is more beautiful in the spring, when the flowers in its meadows are in full bloom and when the trees have turned green again, or when the riot of autumn colours is reflected in the waters of the lakes, or indeed during the winter calm, when ice petrifies the waterfalls and when the surrounding trees are heavily laden with snow. With a network of paths, visitors can get around and access the numerous waterfalls and the rocky lake shores easily.
