Rainbow Pools, located less than one mile from the lodge, are natural swimming holes along the south fork of the Tuolumne River. The area is a popular picnic, swimming, hiking and fishing spot.

This trail follows the North side of the Tuolumne River and beautiful granite rocks and has about 300 feet of elevation gain and leads to a waterfall and some swimming holes. Note there are some downed trees and it may be a bit overgrown in areas, but it is not difficult to follow the trail.
