Neighborhoods

The neighborhood is located just south of Prospect Park and one block east of the Prospect Park Parade Grounds where you will see events such as local soccer, baseball, and tennis tournaments. It’s lush with trees and other green foliage, quite a stunning area. There are several nearby Caribbean eateries such as Mangoseed and Fisherman’s Cove, French restaurants (Risbo 🤌🏼), and even vegan options (ZED). Also, there’s no shortage of delis and fast food options. There’s a great selection of local clothing boutiques and chains along Flatbush Ave as well as small smoke shops and other niche stores. It’s a well trafficked area during the day and dies down quietly at night as it is a more residential area. It is a safe area but just like with anywhere in NYC you should be vigilant at night and avoid anyone causing trouble. The overall vibe of the neighborhood is extremely kind and good-hearted. It has a very authentic feel to it, not over-commercialized but still lively and beautiful.
