The "other side" of Chao Praya River

Most of the Tourists who come and visit Bangkok would be on the right side of the river. SIlom, Siam Paragon, MBK to name a few. However, Bangkok is located on on the river and, in fact, Bangkok is cover both sides of the river.
Quite a few interesting places are to visit on this side of the river. Icon Siam is one of the interesting place. Seacon Square and the Mall Bangkhae is making this area exciting. Linked back to the CBD with MRT and BTS make this area so convenince in half of the price.
To travel around, most of the floating markets are easier to go from this side of the city. Travel to Suwannabhum International Airport is also convenience through outter ring road with less traffic. You might be surprised that you spend less time to go to the airport from this side.
From luxury hotels and glamorous shopping center, this part can easily compete with the right side. Peninsula Hotel, Mandarin Residence, Oriental Spa to name a few.
If you come to Bangkok so often that the "ordinary Bangkok" start to look tired for you, I am urging you to try this part of Bangkok. You might fall in love with Bangkok even deeper!

Next to it is also a river front shopping center. Tah Maharach, you can enjoy your flat white latte, italain pasta or even Thai hot seafood dish here. and did i mention that the view is breath taking?

They said there are 5 Great Places in Bangkok For Khao Kha Moo - Thai Pork Leg Stew. This is one of them right in the soi of Phetkasem 46/2. Khao Kha Mu Bang Wa Shop is worth a visit It's a classic Thai - Chinese shop house serving unbelievably good Khao Kha Moo. The broth is excellent, as is the homemade chilli vinegar. I especially love how happy the staff are when they see a westerner enjoying their food! The one slight problem I do have with this place is that the eggs are always overcooked for my liking, to the point they have that black ring around the yolk. Even some love their egg this way. but thats a minor detail, though, considering how good the meat and sauce is.

Had a tasty and quiet lunch here. It's off the main road, and has a lot of greenery (of course with that name!), so it doesn't feel as hectic as a lot of places in Bangkok. I had the chicken panang and mozzarella spring rolls. Everything was tasty, give it a try!

MRT is pretty much linking you with the whole city. But for China town, MRT is such a convenince way to get there. Also the flower market, the grand palace or even your be-loved Weekend Market.
