The Gautrain is a great and fairly inexpensive way to commute to and from the airport. Or even between Pretoria, Centurion, Sandton and Rosebank.
Make sure to check the schedules of the train, as it does not run very late in the evenings or early in the mornings.

Every 3 months with the change of seasons, The Linden Market is hosted in the Emmarentia Botanical gardens.
Check it out if you are here by chance and it is open. There is a great number of vendors showing of their hand made goods.
