Drive Highway 180 to Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon for jaw-dropping views, a raging river, a cavern, and much more. Trailheads there lead to Mist Falls, Paradise Valley, and the backcountry.

Right off Highway 180, Grizzly Falls is tall and misty. Watch for a little bird - the American Dipper - fly into and around the falls to its nest! It's almost impossible to believe!

A short walk from Fivespot and Merrynook, the Pinehurst Lodge is a local hangout with drinks, burgers, and steaks, located in a 115-year-old sawmill building. It's got a jukebox, fireplace, TV, pool table, and deck.
The food and service are not completely reliable, so if you don't like surprises, we wouldn't recommend it. But if you're looking for a very local scene in a unique and historical building, you'll love the Pinehurst Lodge.
