We prefer the beaches further west, away from the crowds at English Bay and Kits (although if you like people-watching, bronzed bodies, you might like those beaches). Rent bikes from English Bay and head west along the seawall past Kits beach and you'll find Jericho beach, Spanish Banks, Locarno, etc. More chill.
