Another great wine bar - with a different selection to what's on offer at Cabane a Vin. Patrice is a good source of local intel and will also make charcuterie and cheese platters. Wine can be drunk on site or taken away (or both, in the unlikely event that you can't finish the bottle).

One of the jewels in the crown of the Loire château and about a 30 minute drive from La Fuye. Wonderful, much celebrated gardens but the main house is also well worth a look around.

Brilliant zip line adventure parks for kids, big and small. Only a 10 minute drive away, it is suitable for children from 5+. Be warned, the adult courses are really quite hardcore! Note that payment is by cash only.

Bike up there one evening (it’s just 5km away from the house) and have dinner at the very casual bistrot/bar, Café le Jeanne D’Arc (do call ahead to make sure they’re open (telephone number listed on our website). Our nearest, and best, boulangerie. It is almost always open, including Sundays (mornings only) and Mondays. Easy to spot - very its very orange awnings - and it has nice, easy parking.
