Don't let the location in Boone Mall deter you. A good food menu (I'd recommend the brussels sprout appetizer with balsamic. Their barbecue tacos are delicious too, as well as their flatbreads!) They have a stylish bar and also room to sit outside under a covered patio and enjoy Boone's weather.

The original Mast General store, creaky floors and all. The post office is still a working post office, and in the colder months there's a wood stove burning inside you can sit around and play checkers while you drink a soda and eat snacks. It's really fun.

My favorite antique store in Boone. You'll have to find and pay for parking on King Street, but parking downtown Boone is really cheap. This store has 3 levels of vintage and antique goods, and great prices. I always find something fun.

Great food, great local brewery. In good weather, sit out on their beautiful covered patio or around the fire pit. The inside design is also gorgeous. It's definitely worth a visit!

If you're into specialty beverages, Hatchet always creates a seasonal menu of espresso drinks featuring fresh ingredient combinations that'll win you over. If you prefer a pure coffee experience, I recommend the Cortado. Savor it. Love it. I'm a huge fan.
