Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a United States National Lakeshore located along the northwest coast of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan in Leelanau and Benzie counties near Empire, Michigan. The park covers a 35-mile-long (56 km) stretch of Lake Michigan's eastern coastline, as well as North and South Manitou islands. This Northern Michigan park was established primarily because of its outstanding natural features, including forests, beaches, dune formations, and ancient glacial phenomena.

The park is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) wide and 3 miles (4.8 km) long and is divided into three segments: The northern area is an all-terrain vehicle dunes area where private motorized vehicle may be driven, the middle of the park is a non-vehicle area (the Walking Dunes), and the southernmost section is leased to a private operator.[2] The park grounds include the Little Sable Point Light on Lake Michigan and one mile of shoreline.

Michigan's Adventure is a 250-acre (1.0 km2) amusement park in Muskegon County, Michigan, about halfway between Muskegon and Whitehall. It is the largest amusement park in the state and has been owned and operated by Cedar Fair since 2001. As of 2012, Michigan's Adventure has 53 rides, more than any other park in the state.
The park also includes an outdoor water park, WildWater Adventure. The park is headlined by seven roller coasters, including Shivering Timbers, a basic wooden coaster, and a suspended looping coaster, Thunderhawk. The typical operating season is from May through September.

The Muskegon Museum of Art is a Classical Revival structure designed by S. S. Berman of Chicago. The building and the bulk of the collection was funded by a bequest from Charles Hackley after his death in 1905. The museum opened in 1912.

USS Silversides (SS/AGSS-236) is a Gato-class submarine, the first ship of the United States Navy to be named for the silversides.
Silversides was one of the most successful submarines in the Pacific Theater of World War II, with 23 confirmed sinkings, totalling more than 90,000 long tons (91,444 t) of shipping. She received a Presidential Unit Citation for cumulative action over four patrols, and twelve battle stars.[8] She presently serves as a museum ship in Muskegon, Michigan, and is a National Historic Landmark.

Along with the SS Keewatin, Milwaukee Clipper is one of only two US passenger steamships left on the Great Lakes. The vessel is now docked in Muskegon, Michigan.
