Night Cycling : Chiangmai is very slow in many good ways.
Wat Phra Tat Doi Luang. And all the old temples. Inside the wall of old city of Chiangmai . Best thing about temples of Chiangmai is you can visit at night, which is cooler and gives different kind of impression, and comfort.
Chiangmai City Wall, I love this construction, it is older than 700 years. All of thai old capital had inner city wall, which contained certain pattern depending on period of times and influence of neighbouring countries at the time. The wall is so old and pretty, I love cycling around the wall and inner city :D

Ne'-Na Contemporary Art Space is a non-profit artist-in-residence program that was founded in Chiang Mai Thailand in 1998 by a group of Swedish and Thai artists led by artist/curator Shukit Panmongkol. The Ne'na Contemporary Art Space international residency program offers artists an opportunity to execute site specific projects which engage with and utilize the local culture of Northern Thailand. The residency offers the artist the opportunity to develop their practice by implementing contemporary concepts and approaches in a new and culturally specific context. Since 2009, Ne'-Na Contemporary Art Space has reorganized its program and facilities by establishing a permanent collaboration with Monfai Lanna Cultural Center. Monfai is an open-air living museum which preserves the traditions and culture of the Lanna people. At Monfai, artists can engage with the traditional culture of Northern Thailand as well as the network of artists, performers, artisans and craftspeople in Chiang Mai who are involved in the activities of the cultural center. Ne'-Na Contemporary Art Space has recently expanded the activities to our annex site on the hillside area in Mae Rim district (ev.15 km. from city downtown of Chiang Mai.

Sightseeing
I love visiting this significant temple after 19:00, by leaving the my apartment around 17:00, drive to the top of this mountain to catch sunset at the Doi Pui Viewpoint, and com back to the temple after tourist leave.
The temple is quiet and peaceful, please kindly keep it that way

The Rim Ping Supermarket opens from 6:00 to 24:00 at the underground floor , also from about 11am to 7pm there are food stores service too :) good and yummy thai food like a local.

Handicraft, wooden stuff and antique :
Baan Tawai is major handicraft for Thailand, all the wooden furnitures, or many authentic home decors come from here. You will find the fascinating stuff here, try to go during the weekdays, I think they close on sunday.
San Kam Pang is the place where you can find very interesting home decorations and wooden handicrafts straight from factories. I also recommend beautiful paper umbrella :D

Ob Kan National Park. I love this place so much. But I recommend my friend to go during the week, and also if you can you should go there early morning. In winter , Chiangmai can get very cold (for Thais 7-18 C in Chiangmai depending where you are at). In dry season, the water is so low that you can walk through the gorge safely. Only 30 mins by car from Chiangmai University. (Use the canal road toward Hang Dong) . Unfortunately this recent year Ob Kan became popular again as it it so very close to the city, weekend is packed with some ppl playing loud music. So you will feel big different on weekdays for visiting.
Ob Kan looks differently in each season, during rainy season May-Oct you get the water the most, but it's whole year long with water, during dry (summer season) you can walk along the gorge , the water is only knee high...Superb...
Near here, you can also visit Chiangmai Cayon (man made)

(They are selling whole night long). [ Flower market is in the same area as city market and china town of Chiangmai, it’s really fun to come by during the day as this market is like a north market of Thailand, so much diversity].
Everything is so very cheap :P

Hey this is my favorite noodle shop in our neighborhood :) I also order 2 bowls. The rice noodle "Sen Mhee Num" and the egg noodle " Baa Mhee Hang Tom yum" .
It's original favour , they 've been operating this noodle shop like forever :)

Seriously , I hate nightlife in Chiangmai, so boring. But...if you need to party, this is the most popular place near home. It's really crowded during weekend, you should try see weekdays. In Chiangmai, I'd rather go to bed early and wake up super early to go somewhere nice in the morning.
