Just a year or so back, a bunch of incredible artists descended on a gorgeous old house in Barranco. They brought it back to life with a series of artistic "salas" and a beautiful outdoor bar area. The place is magical (and popular) at night, and the Pisco Sours and chilcanos are excellent. Ayahuaca bar is also a great pick, also located in Miraflores.

Also known as the cat park, Parque Kennedy is in the center of Miraflores. It's a cheerful island of green in the big city of Lima, with free (but very friendly) felines snoozing in the trees and getting chubby on all the kitty food locals put out. On weekend evenings, food carts and even musicians and actors usually join the cats.

It has just three main buildings, but the art can really push boundaries, and the feature artist's work in the main building is always beautifully displayed and very unique. The MAC also has an adorable vegetarian-friendly café alongside a big garden, just to the right of the gates. The MALI museum, also located in Barranco, is a must: The photography here is stunning by itself, but the love that has gone into creating the display really enhances the whole experience.
