A MUST for anyone visiting Detroit. They have the best sandwiches (I recommend the "Gutty" or "Sho'nuff"). They also have an excellence beer and wine selection, as well as a full bar. Great place to sit outside on a nice day, and the bar is low-key and under the radar at night.

A staple among locals. I go every weekend! Amazing, character-filled diner that serves locally-sourced foods with a smile. It get's busy but is well-worth the wait. Get your poutine fix here!

This is a foodie place for sure. Very unique downtown spot on the 2nd floor of a beautiful old brownstone building. It's a fancier, small plates restaurant with excellent cocktails as well. Make sure to try the homemade Potato Chips.

You will definitely have to wait, but there is a patio you can relax on and have a couple $3 Bell's Two Hearted Ale's on.

A MUST stop on any Detroit food tour. It's been around forever, and it's no wonder why. If anyone tells you that American (the rival coney next door) is better, you cannot trust them. It's open 23 hours a day, so you can show up just about any time.
