Rent a bicycle or a surrey right in the park. Google "Lindy in the Park, Golden Gate Park" for more details. from 11am until 2pm it's a free Lindy dance session. At 12pm there is a free Lindy dance lesson for 30 minutes. Tons of fun!

Rent a paddle boat to enjoy beautiful Stow Lake.
I never get tired of hiking Land's End. Views are spectacular of the Pacific and of the Golden Gate Bridge. Mostly it's a flat hike, with a number of staircases. Top, top recommendation

SFMOMA rebuilt and reopened their museum 2 years ago, tripling their size. My French cousins were very impressed with the architecture, the art and beauty of the space. Very fine museum gift shop for cultured San Francisco souvenirs. Be sure to try their rooftop cafe.

The Exploratorium is the original hand-on interactive science museum. They moved to the bayside Embarcadero several years ago. Stunning view from their bayside cafe facing the water. Very interesting exhibits - great for kids of all ages.

Stones town is a large shopping mall a short 10 minute ride away. In addition to two department stores, Nordstrom's & Macy's, there's a large number of U.S. chain stores. Trader Joe's is also located there with economical wines and cheeses as well as many other fun food items.

Rent some old fashioned roller skates and then skate over to Golden Gate Park. On Sundays and sometimes Saturdays there's a regular crew of skaters not too far from this rental shop. They play music while skating and the scene is also fun to watch.
