La Jolla is world famous for the beauty, restaurants, shops and just hanging out! A must see is La Jolla Cove. My favorite restaruant is George's at the Cove. Beautiful views!!! It can be pricey though.

Del Mar has a lovely beach. Although it is called dog beach, it is split into two, one side for dogs, one for just people. Downtown Del Mar is a lovely area with restaurants, shopping and easily walkable. Parking can be tricky, and there are meters, but worth it to me.

Just getting to Coronado is beautiful. You can take the ferry from Downtown San Diego or drove over the beautiful bridge. The cove is lovely and my favorite restaurant is Peohe's. House specialty is fresh seafood, and you can't beat the view looking back at downtown San Diego! Pricy.

Just getting to Coronado is beautiful. You can take the ferry from Downtown San Diego or drove over the beautiful bridge. The cove is lovely and my favorite restaurant is Peohe's. House specialty is fresh seafood, and you can't beat the view looking back at downtown San Diego! Pricy.
The Village of Carlsbad is quaint, and popular with the locals and tourists alike. The beach is beautiful and they have affordable restraunts as well. I miss living there!

Since it is so close, Tijuana (TJ) is an interesting place to go. You will need your passport and it is crazy busy!

Parks & Nature
Preserve means little cliff. Multiple trails across the 3,000 acre park. Lots of wildlife, highly recommended by locals, horse back riding is available as well.
Also popular is the Torrey Pines State Reserve. Beautiful scenery, hikes are considered easy. if you love to hike, you cant miss this one!

Los Penasquitos Canyon TrailPreserve means little cliff. Multiple trails across the 3,000 acre park. Lots of wildlife, highly recommended by locals, horse back riding is available as well.

The park entrance is free, the 16 museums charge a nominal fee, (check for deals on line). There are plenty of green belts, walking paths and it contains the San Diego Zoo. I love the Japanese Flower Garden! Restarurants and shops are on property as well. Lovely place!
