Temescal Canyon is the locals place to take a hike. Free parking on Temescal Canyon before Sunset Blvd. Walk into park and keep going all the way up the canyon past the cute buildings. Or drive in and park for about $5-10 and save yourself 5 minutes off the hike. Several options for hiking - but I just go straight back and walk up to the bridge in the trail (In Winter/Spring small creek/ water fall)
