A cosy pub with great food - sharing platters, home made pies, steaks, Sunday lunches (excellent) in a lovely location - a gentle walk down to the lake to bird watch or water sports. A scenic drive or cycle back to Argoed Barns.

This place was a rescued by the local community with help from the lottery. The mill is back working and you can go on a short tour. They produce their own bread which you can enjoy over lunch or tea in the cafe and even buy to bring home.

Sightseeing
This houses the battle honours awarded by Queen Victoria to the RRW after the famous battle at Rorkes Drift (more VCs awarded than in any other battle). Afterwards, visit the Regimental Museum to find out more about the regiment's fascinating history.

It is on the site of the disused railway and they have used the old carriages to display artwork which is available to purchase on an interest free collector scheme. A nice place to stop off on the way back from Builth Wells for a cuppa and a slice of cake.
