This is the local's place for bagels. As a transplant from New York I am a bagel snob, but even I have to admit these bagels are very, very good. There are three locations. Sometimes there is a bit of a line, but it moves quickly.

It is a door under a light in an alley. Tricky to find, and mostly locals eat there because of this. If you are up for an adventure, try this place. The food is delicious and the bar drinks are superb.

This one is hard to describe. The chef is one of the more interesting in town. I'd call it bar food, but it's really not that. Maybe bar food elevated to another level? Local meat, local produce, house cured meat, good bar drinks. One of my favorite spots. There is a bar located in the basement.

Another very delicious and uniquely Charlottesville place. The interior is a fun mix of old diner and movie posters with delicious food and good wine. Fun!
