Dornoch is a bueatifil small town with wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants. The Cathedral is well worth a visit and has a lovely game for children to help them explore the building. Royal Dornoch Golf Course is a superb links course and the towns beaches are perfect for a children to play on.

Dunrobin is a superb castle set in wonderful gardens overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The home of the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland, it is open to the public with not just a grand build in wander through, there is also a great museum and the Falconry display is the best one I have ever seem.

Dunrobin is a superb castle set in wonderful gardens overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The home of the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland, it is open to the public with not just a grand build in wander through, there is also a great museum and the Falconry display is the best one I have ever seem.
Parks & Nature
The Falls of Shin are a fabulous place to watch salmon migrate upstream to their spawning grounds in the hills of Sutherland. The recently opened visitor centre has a nice cafe with a play park for the children and a path that takes you down to the viewing platform to allow yoy to look for the leaping salmon from a safe area. Nice walks through the surrounding woods and a chance for the observant travellers to glimpse a Scottis Wild Cat.
