I recommend the Independent because the food is delicious, reasonably priced, cocktails are interesting and out of the norm. Bartenders and wait staff are friendly, attentive and know how to make you feel comfortable.
A Huge Plus is that it is at the bottom of Prospect Hill, where I live....so no worries about driving!!!!

I love Walden Pond because it is serene in the Winter, beautiful in the Spring and especially, the Fall.
Summer time is good for swimming, bringing young children to the family beach area, kayaking and hiking.
Walden Pond is a famous National Historical Monument where Henry David Thoreau lived in a cabin for two years, writing Walden; or, Life in the Woods.
