On walking distance from PARK MANSION is the Royal Palace on Dam square. What me concerns a rich and great place to visit ! When built in 1650 it was the largest public building in the world. The Dutch Republic was the most powerful country in the world that moment and this was expressed in building this impressive building a a "town hall" . Later in beginning 19th century turned into a royal palace.

This is where locals like me go to for groceries, a simple but delicious lunch at the traditional fish monger ( fish shop) SMIT for a fresh Herring and fried cod with tartar sauce. Next to it : the perfect coffee place , next to that : this organic lunch food place + patisserie + nearby this upscale organic food grocery store MARQT at "overtoom".
