Fun Mexican wrestler theme underground bar/ restaurant. Better on weekends but can get very crowded. Decent Mexican food but more about the drinks and atmosphere. A 2 minute walk from my apartment so an easy option for those days you don't want to go far.

Always a fun time most days of the week including weekdays. Good menu for tacos etc, usually playing hip hop or other NYC friendly music. Would go for drinks or dinner. Crowded, no reservations. Might be hard to find if you've never been but ask around if you get lost - down an alley.

Go for drinks and a beautiful view at night. A bit corporate as it's a nice bar and pricier in Central but the view and quality is worth a few drinks there pre-dinner.

Great yakitori place and always very crowded. If you don't want to wait, go before 7PM. I usually just drink upstairs while waiting for a table, decent sake selection. Best menu items are the Chicken oyster piece, the chicken meatball, and not on the menu but ask for the Katsu sandwich. No reservations so expect to wait a bit.

Dim Sum at City Hall is on most tourist agendas. Good dimsum in an enormous room, go on a Sunday or Saturday for brunch/lunch.

Hike to Tai Long Wan, one of the nicest beaches with clear waters in the middle of nature. A bit hard to get out to so don't set out without clear directions.

Shek O is the default beach destination to head to when you don't want to go too far. About a 30 min taxi to the south side of the island. Large enough beach, can get crowded on hot days. In a fishing village with a few cool restaurants, bars etc so fun for a day on the beach then followed by drinks.

Get out to Lantau Island if it's a nice day - there are also beaches, hikes etc along with the Buddha if you know where to go.

Out in the New Territories where there is a lot of space if you have the time. Offroad riding and motocross. Can rent full kit and bikes as well as pay for lessons. Would plan a time allotment of 8/9AM - 1PM including transit at least.

Great views of the city from above - I particularly love this on a clear night - outrageous views. Pretty safe, decently lit.
