“This park is a great place to go walking, sit and people watch or stay fit and jog on the running path. It was built to honour the Emancipation of our people in 1834. The most remarkable feature at this park is an 11 ft. Bronze Sculpture built by artist Laura Facey of two naked male and female statues sitting atop a water fountain, representative of their triumph of being freed from slavery.”
