People don't realise how special the gorge is. Take a whole day to explore it in full (and of course if you're staying at FLAX you can do that from your door step).

Worth the walk, do the zig zag track if you like to hike, takes around 1/2 -3/4 Hr. You must walk the swinging bridge, this is the best part of Launceston.

Take a water bottle , jacket, and head off for the a delightful few hours. Definitely need walking shoes that are comfortable not heels. This is a unique treasure hidden only 20 minutes walk in and its like an oasis once you arrive. Toilets and a Cafe by day on one side stunning restaurant the other by evening surrounded by plants and peacocks . If walking is an issue then head to the West Launceston entrance and take the chairlift across. Wheelchair access also provided with an outdoor lift.
