Good food at a reasonable price. We have never been disappointed after any of our frequent visits to Delphina's. It is also a vavorite of other homeowners on Bald Head Island. Delphina's is off the beaten path and easy to miss unless you are specifically looking for it. They close early. They do not take reservations and wait time before 6pm better than after 6pm. Delphinas is owned by a colorful local character named Harper Peterson who is the former Mayor of Wilmington and recently was the State Senator for the area but Harper is "hands on" and the last time I spoke with him he was washing dishes and taking out the trash at Delphina's. The labor shortage this summer is real as I well know from owning a restaurant myself in Wilmington (even though we live on a farm in Hillsborough 2 1/2 hours away.... Long story.....suffice it to say that I have an affinity for good architecture whether modern or historic and I bought a historic building in Wilmington and ended up owning the biz inside the building which just happened to be a restaurant/microbrewery also:-)

Delphina's is mostly mexican food with a fresh flair. It is reasonably priced and the food is delicious and authentic. The atmosphere is relaxed, which makes it a great family spot. They have a small bar and outdoor deck. Also attached to Delphina's, is Marina Pizza which is TAKEOUT only. This is our favorite pizza spot on the island and has a lot of delicious specialty pizzas to choose from. there are only 2 other places on the island that serve pizza - Horizons at the BHI Club is a close second and we typically do not get takeout pizza at the Market.
