We call it the city park, it is the biggest park in Porto district and in the Summer is know for hosting several music events and great place to make a picnic in a sunny afternoon.

The City Park is the largest urban park in Portugal, with an area of 83 hectares that stretch out as far as the Atlantic Ocean, which is globally something of a rarity. It was designed by the landscape architect Sidónio Pardal and inaugurated in 1993 (1st phase) and finalized in 2002. The presence of stone takes on a preponderant characteristic of this park, where the construction of supporting walls for terrain, spots to stay and paving create a rural and bucolic idea. In 2000, it was selected by the Order of the Engineers as one of the `100 most remarkable works constructed in Portugal in the 20th century`. Among other installations, it lodges the Centre for Environmental Education. The EDP Marathon in Porto, with its 18th anniversary, starts its publicity campaign, with a view to the 19th. Edition, in 2023 to November 5, starting at 8:00 am, and as in the past, we intend to make this EDP Porto Marathon an event of national and international reference.

The park is very used by runners, families, and companion animals, it has two lakes with a very characteristic bird fauna and mustache fish, if you do not run bring a bag with bread, the ducks from lake will love it, the park starts on land and ends at sea, perfect place for outdoor activities
