The most worthwhile heritage / cultural site in Osaka in my opinion. Way better than Osaka castle and Shitennoji temple.

Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine is a Shinto shrine, and it is the main shrine of all the Sumiyoshi shrines in Japan, and features in The Tale of Genji, the historical Japanese masterpiece.
